How to Find LinkedIn Connection Email Addresses with Apollo.io

Jeremy Hurley February 15, 2026

LinkedIn connections rarely display email addresses publicly. But if you’ve built up a network of relevant contacts, those connections are a goldmine - you just need their emails. Apollo.io makes this easy with its data enrichment feature.

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1 - Export Your LinkedIn Connections

Go to LinkedIn Settings > Data Privacy and request a data export of your connections. LinkedIn will email you a CSV file containing names, companies, and profile URLs.

Step 2 - Prepare the CSV

Make sure your file includes first name, last name, company, and LinkedIn URL. The LinkedIn URL is the critical identifier Apollo.io uses for matching.

Step 3 - Import into Apollo.io

Upload the CSV through Apollo.io’s Data Enrichment feature. Map the columns to Apollo.io’s corresponding fields (first name, last name, company, LinkedIn URL).

Step 4 - Run Enrichment

Apollo.io will attempt to match each contact and pull verified email addresses. In our experience with just over 5,000 LinkedIn connections, Apollo.io matched approximately 60% successfully - roughly 3,000 contacts with verified emails.

Step 5 - Review Results

Download the enriched file and review the results. You’ll see which contacts Apollo.io matched, their verified email addresses, and additional data points like job title and company size.

Step 6 - Put the Data to Work

Use the enriched contacts for targeted email campaigns, CRM imports, or marketing outreach. These are warm contacts - they already know you from LinkedIn - so response rates tend to be higher than cold outreach.

What to Expect

  • Match rates of around 60% are typical for LinkedIn exports
  • Each enrichment costs 1 credit per contact in Apollo.io
  • The LinkedIn URL field significantly improves match accuracy
  • Results are usually available within minutes for batches under 10,000
